Manifesto · Stockholm · 2026

The era of free money ended.
Most decision-makers haven't caught up.

Sekuia is a private intelligence desk for the post-ZIRP world. This is what we believe, why we built it, and who it is for.

§01 — The world changed in 2022.

For fifteen years, the cost of capital was a rounding error. Treasurers stopped hedging. CFOs refinanced on autopilot. Investors levered duration without a second thought. The macro regime asked nothing of them — and rewarded those who simply showed up.

That regime is gone. Inflation has structural drivers — deglobalisation, demography, energy transition, defence spending, sovereign debt at peacetime records. Central banks are no longer a tailwind; they are the primary source of risk and the primary source of return. Every meeting now matters. Every word matters. A single hawkish phrase from Frankfurt repriced €1.4 trillion of duration in nineteen minutes last September.

§02 — The toolkit didn't change with it.

Yet the tools available to most decision-makers haven't changed since 2008.

Bloomberg costs €25,000 per seat and shows you the same data as everyone else. News feeds report what already happened. Sell-side research is conflicted, late, and optimised for the largest paying clients. Macro chat groups are noise dressed as signal. AI chatbots hallucinate confidently and remember nothing.

The treasurer of a €400M revenue group, the partner running a €1B fund, the founder mortgaging her second factory — they all face the same problem. The information asymmetry against them has never been wider, and the cost of getting macro wrong has never been higher.

§03 — What we are building.

Sekuia is the response. We are building the macro intelligence partner we wanted as operators, treasurers and investors: a private desk that reads every central bank communication the moment it lands, decodes its meaning with conviction, and translates it into the one thing that matters — your next move.

Not a chatbot. Not a dashboard. A desk. With opinions, evidence, and a memory. One paragraph in, one position out.

§04 — Why Stockholm.

We are based in Stockholm because Northern Europe sits at the most interesting fault line in global macro: small, open economies pricing in real time the consequences of decisions made in Washington and Frankfurt. The Riksbank cut before the ECB. The Riksbank cut again before the consensus said it would. We see the signal first because we live in the signal.

§05 — What we believe.

We do not predict the future. We give you the conviction to act on it.

We believe macro intelligence should be a utility, not a luxury. We believe AI should take a view, not hedge every sentence. We believe the European post-trade ecosystem deserves a tool built for it, not a US import retrofitted with VAT. We believe the next decade will reward the operators who learn to read central bank language fluently — and punish those who keep outsourcing it to a research note that arrives on Friday.

§06 — Who it is for.

Sekuia is for the founders refinancing in a 4% world, the treasurers running cash in five currencies, the investors deciding when duration becomes a buy again, the lenders watching their net interest margin compress, the real estate operators staring at their 2026 maturity wall, and the family offices preserving capital across regimes. It is for everyone who can no longer afford to outsource macro.
